A city considered by some to rival Constantinople in holiness as it became a site of considerable pilgrimage in the late 14th century. Donations and holy fervor resulted in the city’s outstanding growth which is reflected through its great cathedral and its impressive school of theology, Reisenwurth.
The cathedral, through the alleged blessings of the late pope, are supported by an organization known as the Choir of the church who sport a particular symbol which reflects their holy purpose.
